vCloud Director 5.1 supported guest Operating Systems

I seen an internal email today regarding what Operating Systems are supported in vCloud Director 5.1.  I always forget where to look for this information, so thought it would be useful to post here for a quick reference.  The information listed below can be found in vCD 5.1 Users Guide on page 119.  To find Windows Server 2012 support statement you will need to check the release notes. Whats new in vCloud Director 5.1

Yesterday vCloud Director 5.1 was released for general availability. This release is a massive step forward with some really important new features available. The product page is available here and a great Whats new Technical whitepaper is available here Below is a brief list of the new features included: VXLAN vCloud Networking and Security (vCNS) Storage Profiles Storage DRS support Snapshot support Elastic Virtual Datacenters expanding multiple subnets/clusters There are a lot more to list, and I would strongly recommend to read the Whats new Whitepaper.
